What is included

Regardless of which program you choose, every program will be a detailed monthly schedule to keep you on a consistent building process until your event or race day. For each program I will do a real life, on-road performance assessment. This will give me a baseline of your fitness level so I can determine your best training methods.  We will find your strengths and weaknesses, even if you think you know what they are, in order to build you into the best cyclist you can be.

When to start

Commitment to being a better athlete starts now. Successful athletes start their training months in advance with multiple phases before they even consider jumping full boar into race season or your summer time smash session with 15-150 of your closest spandex pals. Even if we’re jumping into the middle of your event season I can build a program to make you preform at your absolute best and recover as soon as possible for your next throttling.

Power meter benefits

Lastly, no tool is more important in your training arsenal than a power meter. This IS the only way to track and asses every second, minute, and hour of training to ensure you are doing the right amount of effort at all times. The performance benefit of incorporating power is far greater than acquiring a lighter frame or wheelset. Where this is most crucial is in the longer efforts when heart rate drift is likely to happen.

When I upgraded to Power Meter training I couldn’t ‘hide’ for a few seconds. My heart rate would stay the same but my power would reveal my inconsistencies and loss of overall power. This made both my experience and Ashley’s analysis so much more accurate which converted into more productive training.
