There aren't two persons alike and we don't like the same things. Same is for training what works for you may not work for me, and what I have felt with Ashley is that he finds what is the best for you, it's not about training less or more, it's about training better. And one of the things I personally like the most about the program is how Ashley understands that we are persons with different needs so he makes the training program for real people and not for robots or storm troopers. I came to Ashley about 2 1/2 years ago, looking to improve my fitness and my racing skills. I didn't really have any specific goals in mind at the time, I just knew I wanted to start racing my bike, and that it takes good fitness to do so now. Ashley quickly helped me get set up and racing within the first month.
Ashley is not only a great coach, but a good friend as well. A few things that I admire about him is that he is almost always available to chat about anything (I say almost because he never replies to my 3am text messages haha) and his willingness to adapt to any situation. I have an extremely busy schedule, and sometimes i just don't have time to ride, or i cannot complete the entire workout. He is really great at changing things on the fly, and making things most ideal for all his athletes.

A few years ago I got back into cycling after a 10 year break and soon picked up my old drive to go fast and go far. Progress didn't seem to come as quickly as it used to and I turned to Ash to help me out. He turned my training on its head and stopped the constant hill repeats and started laying the foundation required to achieve bigger goals than a PR on my local hilly route. Within a year we did our first Everesting then decided to go big the following year with a full 24 hour mountain repeat ride just to see what was possible.
I have a business and small family so I can't stress enough how important my time and nutrition is in order to stay healthy and also pursue these types of goals. He set out a plan and over the following months we followed and adjusted and made enough progress to feel good about my 24 hour ride. He consulted me on nutrition, hydration, sleep and everything required to achieve the Guinness World Record goal. Well, we did it by doing a 1.5x Everest in a single ride and still went back to work the next day. I'd call that a success.
If you're also a business or family person, Ash can work around that and keep everything in balance so you don't burn out on account of over training. It's by far the best investment I've made in my cycling.
When I started racing as a triathlete 4 years ago I had no guidance. After about a year of racing I decided it was time to find a coach. A good friend and training partner who was being coached by Ashley introduced the two of us. Working with Ash is very easy, fun, yet still very professional. Ash is always willing to work around the scheduling of my life. He is very involved in my training and racing life. Ash is always aware of how I am feeling and how my body is reacting to the training programs that he has built for me. Having a coach that is always willing to make adjustments to my program if a sickness or if my body is not ready for a specific effort is very important to me- I have that with Ash. Ever since starting my coaching with Ashley my fitness has increased drastically and it has shown in my race results.
Ash is a truly amazing coach. I don’t think I could have gotten through my Ironman training with out him. He was there every step of the way helping me get through the hard days and there with me to celebrate the good days. He helped me map out my nutrition plan for the entire race as well as for my training. His experience and ability provides an abundance of knowledge about the sport that truly makes him an absolutely amazing coach. I HIGHLY recommend Ashley as a coach to everyone out there!
